MEET GRANT DEPALMA
“Wear the world like a loose garment” - St. Francis of Assisi

St. Francis' quote comes from Psalm 102:25-28 where we learn that everything but God will perish and wear out like a garment. This truth has allowed me to realize that I am not what I do professionally or how I perform but who I belong to for eternity. I am first and foremost a child of the immutable, everlasting, and triune God (John 1:12, 1 John 3:1-2, 2 Cor 6:18, Romans 8:17, Phil 2:15, John 14:16-18), purchased and made clean by the blood of Christ (1 Cor 6:19-20, Acts 20:28, Rev 5:9, Hebrews 9:14, 1 John 1;7, Rev 7:14, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews:10:19-22, Colossians 1:29-20) made possible by our Lord's loving sacrifice (John 3:16), sealed with the promised Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13-14, Ephesians 4:30, 2 Cor 1:21-22) and out of gratitude seek to obey and serve my King, Lord, and savior as a disciple of Christ. (1 John 5:3, Matthew 16:24-25, Matthew 28:19-20, 2 Cor 5:14-15, Titus 2:11-14, John 13:13-15)
DISCIPLE OF CHRIST

As a Disciple of Christ, my purpose is to glorify God (1 Corinthians 10:31) and enjoy his presence by advancing the reign of my Lord Jesus Christ on earth (Rev 5:10) through the power of the Holy Spirit (Zechariah 4:6, Acts 1:8, Ephesians 3:16-17) by exhibiting responsibility and leadership in my personal, professional, family, church, and community life (Psalm 128).
As for what I do professionally, or to keep context, the shirts I am currently wearing and believe God wants me to wear are to exhibit responsibility and accountability in roles related to Sports Performance Coaching, Entrepreneurial Engineering, and Quantitative Risk Management & Trading. No matter what role I am in, my overarching purpose is to glorify God and enjoy His presence by utilizing my God-given time, talent, and treasure to cultivate greatness in athletes at each phase of the athlete's journey in sport and in life.
SPORTS PERFORMANCE COACH

As a sports performance coach, I apply scientific and experiential knowledge to designing, implementing, and iterating training programs for the primary goals of maximizing on-field performance and functional fitness while reducing risk of injury for athletes at each phase of their journey in sport and life.
EMERGING INVESTMENT MANAGER
